Every day, I pass by a small stream that flows across the road, winding through a dense forest. The water moves gently, creating a soothing sound that contrasts with the wandering mind. Many people stop to watch this peaceful scene, taking in the quiet beauty of the stream.
However, it's heartbreaking to see plastic waste scattered along the banks. Despite the stream's calm presence, it is surrounded by trash, a sad reminder of how we often ignore our environment.
It's ironic that while humans have the unique ability to think and understand, we often fail to use this gift to protect nature. Unlike other creatures that live in balance with their surroundings, we have the power to recognize the impact of our actions but frequently choose to disregard it.
Microplastics are a clear sign of our negligence, harming countless animals and plants. We need to rethink our actions and remember that this Earth belongs to everyone, not just us.
Before we pollute any place, we should consider its impact on the world around us. The stream, with its gentle flow, never gets angry, but maybe it's time for us to heed its silent call for respect and care.
